Ten Count: Another Days - Mobile Game Translation (Last Update 16/10/2020) - Discontinued

This translation is discontinued on grounds of the game being shut down, and therefore, me no longer having access to the text. This translates the first two chapters and first game tutorial.

Ten Count: Another Days was a mobile game for android and other devices developed by Ameba, based on the manga Ten Count by Takarai Rihito.
For more info on the game, see this post by dePepi
Below is a script translation of the game's story, updated periodically. The story is told from Shirotani's perspective.

Everything in this world is dirty. Slippers. Phone handsets. Door knobs. Train handles.
It's hard to breathe.
Even though it's hard, I won't suffocate.
If I don't want to touch it, I don't have to touch it.
The way I live, it isn't inconvenient.  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shirotani: "President." Shirotani: "I should be able to schedule it for today, however--"
Checking the memo in the notebook, I, Shirotani Tadaomi, read today's schedule.
President: "Oops, wait a moment."
The president stopped the car, opened the door himself and started talking to someone outside the car.
Shirotani: "President, be careful of the cars."

At that moment, I saw a truck in the car's rearview mirror.
I saw the face of the driver, a mobile phone in his hand, absorbed in a conversation--
Shirotani: "President!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doctor: "Your kneecap is fractured."
Doctor: "Hospitalisation is usually unnecessary for this kind of minor fracture, but--"
President: "Ah, you're here."
President: "I should say I'm glad it was only a fall..."

Shirotani: "What do you want me to do about work from tomorrow onwards?"
President: "Ah, deal with it however you see fit, Shirotani-kun."  Shirotani: "Yes, sir."
President: "The exhibition in Kyoto next week--"
 ???: "Hey."
???: "Is it okay if I leave now?"
???: "I have work."
President: "Ah, excuse me. Kurose-kun, is it?"

President: "No, you really saved me. Thank you."
President: "I'd like to repay you somehow."
President: "Can you tell me your contact information?"
Kurose: "No, you don't have to."
Kurose: "You ended up with a fracture, after all."
Kurose: "My apologies."
Kurose: "Well then, take care."
President: "Hey, Hey!"
Kurose-kun left the room without another word.
President: "I can't just leave things like this..."
President: "Shirotani!"
President: "Chase after him!"
Shirotani: "Yes, sir."
Shirotani: (We should just leave him be...)
Shirotani: "Please wait a moment."
Kurose: "... "
I found him waiting for the elevator, and offered him my business card.
Shirotani: "I'm Kuramoto's secretary, from Towasa Corporation."
Shirotani: "My name is Shirotani."
Shirotani: "This time, I'd like to offer our thanks properly, from myself too--"
Kurose: "You have germophobia?"
The sound of the elevator arriving rang throughout the quiet hospital.
The door opened, but Kurose-san did not enter the elevator.
Shirotani: "It seems really bad. Maybe it'd be a good idea to see someone about it."
Shirotani: "Why... are you saying 'it seems bad' when we just met?"
Kurose: "...Because there's blood coming through your gloves. I figured it's because your hands are chapped from being washed constantly."
Shirotani: "That's.... it's fine, I don't need to be cured."
Kurose: "If you get treatment quickly, I'm sure--"
Shirotani: "That's of no concern to a stranger like you!!"
Kurose: "...!"
Shirotani: "...Ah."
Shirotani: (Crap...)
Shirotani: "Excuse me..."
Shirotani: "That's... It's just..."
Shirotani: "...If you feel like it,"
Shirotani: "Please call the number on this card."
I bowed as I said those words, not making eye contact with Kurose-san.
Kurose: "..."
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shirotani: (Today's finally over.)
(I take one step outside, and all sorts of unpleasant things happen.)
I throw my gloves away, and wash my hands to disinfect them from the outside.
Shirotani: (Well, he probably won't call the company...)
(Even though it wasn't related to my job, it's the first time I acted towards someone like that.)
(It's probably because... I hate myself for hesitating to hold my hand out to the president.)
(I wasn't lying about not needing to be cured.)
(...Because this is normal for me.)
(But sometimes--)
(On days like this, it gets hard to breathe...)
Riku (flashback): "If you get treatment quickly, I'm sure--"
 Shirotani: (....surely,)
(...would it be easier to breathe?)
(I don't want to fall into being disgusted by myself like this.)
(Even if I don't owe the president anything, I can't even reach my hand out to someone in that sort of situation...)
(It's true I don't have to be cured, but if I think about it, I get uneasy.)
(...Do I want to become more free? The truth it...)
(Wearing clothes I like, going to places I like...)
(If I'm able to do things like that, will it become easier to breathe?)
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 ???: "..."
Shirotani: "....!?"
Shirotani: "This... what in the world...?"

-Game Tutorial-
Shirotani: Is this place... inside a dream?
That mochi kinda looks like...
Is it gonna teach me all sorts of things?
...It seems like it.
Ah, wait!
System: Are you going to roll the gacha?
Tutorial 10-pull
Shirotani: Amazing! I got a lot
I can wear the clothes I got here. It'd be nice if I could go to lots of different places..
Ha... if this is a dream, then maybe that can happen.
But how to change clothes...
Should I go to "Skill"?
System: Skill set saved.
Shirotani: "Remember to save!"
All ready! Time go out.
Maybe, in this dream, I can go somewhere?
Puzzle...?
I see! I can go to the cafe and play puzzles!
If I do my best at puzzles, surely, I'll get better...
Should I clear them in order?
I see..
Why are you having me do this?
That's... well, if I clear it, I guess I'll understand.
System: Play puzzle
Shirotani: Wow! It's full of mochi!
Do I tap two or more connected mochi?
...I'm gonna get contaminated...
Ahh, I did it, I can relax!
The mochi disappeared!
If you erase more than 7 connected mochi... it becomes a bomb!
When you tap a bomb...
everything around the bomb is erased.
When there are lots of bombs, tapping one...
Wah!
If there's more than four... what will happen?
I'm looking forward to it...
If I erase the same colour, the guage will fill up.
Once it fills up... let's press it!
It activates the skill!
You can only tap as long as there's stamina.
Somehow, I feel like I changed a little...!
System: Back to room
Shirotani: I can use story points to read the next part of the story.
System: Story

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shirotani: (Psychological treatment, huh...
It's a big hurdle to get over, I guess...)
Shirotani: "Ah...?"
Shirotani: "Um..."
Shirotani: "From yesterday...?"
Shirotani: (Is he here for psychological treatment, too...?)
Kurose: "Could it be,"
Kurose: "You've decided to get treatment?"
Shirotani: "...You're also recieving treatment at this clinic?"
Kurose: Nope, I'm the counsellor at this clinic.
Shirotani: (Huh-!?)
Shirotani (flaskback): "That's of no concern to a stranger like you!!"
Shirotani: "...I'm leaving for today after all."
Kurose: "Wait."
Suddenly he threw his arm out, and the sound of my own heart rang in my ears.
Kurose: Don't worry, I won't touch you.
Kurose: I understand that coming to see a psychiatrist takes a little courage,"
Kurose: "So if you don't mind, why don't you talk to me elsewhere for a little while?"
On Kurose-san's suggestion, we went to a nearby cafe.
The two iced coffees he requested were delivered to the table.
Kurose: "Are restraunts okay?"
Shirotani: "...I'm not good with them."
Shirotani: "Even when I do go out to socialise, I never eat."
Kurose: "I see."
Shirotani: (This situation has...)
Shirotani: (...gotten kinda weird.)
Kurose: "Shirotani-san."
Kurose: "This is sudden, but is it okay if I ask you a few questions?"
Shirotani: "Ah, yes."
Shirotani: "Before that,"
Shirotani: "Is it okay that you're not at work today?"
Kurose: "I'm off today."
Kurose: "I was just retrieving something I forgot at the clinic."
After taking a sip of the drink, Kurose-san placed his coffee glass back down.
Kurose: "Well, my turn, then."
Kurose: "You don't have to answer any questions you don't wanter to answer."
Kurose: "Have you ever had counselling or visited a clinic before?"
Shirotani: "No."
Kurose: "Have you tried to resolve it on your own?"
Shirotani: "I always told myself, 'This is fine as it is', so not really.."
Shirotani: "There were times that I, on a whim, thought I should read self-help books,"
Shirotani: "...but with the way the books were lined up, I couldn't bring myself to take one and bring it back home."
Shirotani: "The thought that anyone could have touched it gave me a bad feeling."
Kurose: "Is that so."
Kurose: "Are there any other actions you're reluctant to do?"
Shirotani: "There are loads."
Shirotani: "Most actions I have to perform while being outside are unpleasant."
Shirotani: "There are things I can deal with for the sake of my job, but..."
Kurose: "I understand. In that case-"
Kurose: "How long have you been conscious of your germophobia, or its symptoms?"
The ice in my glass of coffee that hadn't realdy been stabbed by my stray makes a 'clink' sound as it melts.
Shirotani: "I don't remember."
Kurose: "Do you have an idea of what the cause was?"
Shirotani: "I don't know."
I answered quickly.
Kurose: "I see."
Kurose: "Shirotani-san,"
Kurose: "Do you have a memo notebook with you?"
As he said it, I opened to the memo page of my notebook.
Kurose: In there, please write the numbers 1 to 10, and list 'things I am reluctant to do', from the easiest to the hardest.
Kurose: 'Something I think I absolutely can't do' should be at number 10, and 'Something I can do with a little effort' should be number 1."
Kurose: "For example, 'touching the doorknob of this store with bare hands'?"
Shirotani: "Eh..."
Shirotani: "Well...if I wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, maybe... but it's still disgusting..."
Kurose: "Then, put that at number 1."
Kurose: "You can take your time, so please fill up those 10 without leaving any blanks."
Shirotani: "..."
Kurose: "Are you done?"
Shirotani: "Yeah..."
Kurose: "Please show me."
Kurose-san checked the '10 items' I wrote.
1: Touch a doorknob.
2: Let someone else touch my personal belongings.
3: Buy a book from a store.
4: Use the handles on the train.
5: Eat in a restraunt.
6: Shake hands with someone with bare hands.
7: Touch someone else's personal belongings without disinfecting them.
8: Drink the same cup after someone else.
9: Let someone else enter my apartment.
10:
Kurose: "You've only left 10 blank, but..."
Shirotani: "..."
Kurose: "Well, it's okay."
Kurose: "We can leave 10 for now."
Kurose: "From now on, I'm going to have you practice what's written here in set periods, from 1 onwards."
Shirotani: "Eh...?"
Kurose: "Have you ever heard of exposure therapy?"
Kurose: "By the time you reach 10, you'll surely be cured."
Shirotani: "...Kurose-san."
Kurose: ".."
Shirotani: "Why... would you do this for me, whom you've just met?"
Kurose-san stares straight at me.
Kurose: "What if I said there's no reason?"
Shirotani: "Well.. quite."
Shirotani: "I'm pretty much a stranger."
Kurose: "Heh."
As he spoke, Kurose-san smiled.
Kurose: "That's good."
Kurose: "I like honest people."
Kurose: "Well, my reason..."
Kurose: "I'll tell you one day, when you fill number 10."
While feeling a little suspicious, I glance down at the 10 items listed in my notebook.
I felt a gaze and raised my own to meet it, seeing Kurose-san staring at me.
Shirotani: "...What is it?"
Kurose: "It's Riku. My first name."
Kurose: "I was just thinking that I didn't tell you yet."
Kurose: "Kurose Riku."
Kurose: "I work at Shimada Psychosomatic Medicine Department. Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays are my days off."
Kurose: "I live in Suginami."
Kurose: "I'm not working now, but I'll give you this anyway."
As he spoke, Kurose-san handed me a business card.
Kurose: "Ah, you can just take a photo of it or write a memo and throw it away."
Kurose: "It'd be a problem if you thoguht of me as a suspicious person,"
Kurose: "...so I thought I should get you to trust me to some extent."
Kurose: "I said it a little while ago, but.."
Kurose: "This isn't a job."
Kurose: "Because I brought this up on my own, I won't ask you to come for the clinic for this."
Kurose: "As for the examination fee..."
Kurose: "...of course, I won't charge you."
Shirotani: "But that's, I can't..."
Kurose: "In that case,"
Kurose: "Please be my friend."
Kurose-san said suddenly, and I could only be surprised.
Kurose: "Asking a friend privately for help, that wouldn't be a problem, right?"
Shirotani: "...That's unnecessarily suspicious."
Shirotani: "To have someone asking to be friends with someone as troublesome as me..."
Shirotani: "...It's the first time, y'know?"
Riku: "y'know?"
Shirotani: "Ah-"
I'd gotten too relaxed.
Kurose: "It's fine."
Kurose: "Also, I'm probably younger than you, so you don't have to call me -san."
Shirotani: "Well, then I'll call you Kurose-kun."
Kurose: "Okay."
Shirotani: "I, even though I don't like the invisible traces of others..."
Shirotani: "...Why can't I be like everyone else?"
Shirotani: "I thought, 'Why is it that I see things so different from everyone else?'"
Shirotani: "You're a strange person too, Kurose-kun."
Shirotani: "Let's be friends."
When I answered him, Kurose-kun became quiet.
He made an expression like he wanted to say something.
Shirotani: "...?"
Kurose: "...Shall we go soon?"
Shirotani: "Ah, yes."
Kurose: "What about your work, Shirotani-san?"
Shirotani: "I'm also off today, too."
Shirotani: "The gloves stand out with normal clothes, so I wear a suit as often as possible."
Kurose: "I see."
While answering his question, I put away my notebook.
Kurose: "Wanna start from today?"
Shirotani: "Eh?"
Kurose: "That. Item 1."
"'Touching a doorknob' was what I wrote for number 1.
Kurose: "There's a few people here,"
Kurose: "This place doesn't have lots of people today, so no one should really care if you stand at the door for a long time, right? How about it?"
Shirotani: "T, Today?"
Flinching at Kurose-san's sudden suggestion, I glance at the door.
Shirotani: "The knob... can't I wipe it with rubbing alcohol?"
Kurose: "You can't."
Shirotani: "W, With my bare hands..."
Kurose: "That's right."
Shirotani: (It's still the first one...)
I clasp together my gloved hands tightly.
Shirotani: "I'll... think...about it..."
Kurose: "Alright."
The table rattled as Kurose-kun stood up.
Kurose: "Well, I'll pay the bill really, really slowly, so please leave during that time."
Shirotani: "W, wait a minute!"
Shirotani: "So it's part of the consultation, huh.."
Not listening to my words, Kurose-kun went to the cash register.
I want to run away. I'm so unnerved.
I look towards the doorknob with that feeling.
I hear the sound of Kurose-kun finishing up paying.
All the while, I stand in place--
Shirotani: "..."
Shirotani: "It's okay."
Shirotani: "I finally resolve myself, and reached for the doorknob."
